Louisiana Black Advocates for Life is sponsoring a 40 Days for Life Prayer Crusade Sept. 22 through Oct. 31.

40 Days for Life events are held on specific dates around the world annually, and folks gather for prayerful vigil outside abortion facilities. Three 40 Days for Life events are being held in Louisiana this fall – in Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans. While there are no abortion facilities in the Lafayette area, we are asking you to join in and make your voices heard and pray for Black life, born and unborn.

Did you know that 65% of all abortions in Louisiana happen in the Black community? This is tragic, and this is why we are calling on you to pray during this 40-day period. Women and men need support in order to choose life for themselves and their unborn children.

We can all help bring this tragedy to an end!  Saving and protecting lives in our community begins with prayer.

The Plan

Pray with faith partners in your home, neighborhood, group, or church on one of the 40 Days for Life (look at the calendar for available days and fill out the form below). You can sign up for more than one day, but we need at least one group on each of the 40 days.  Encourage others to sign up for any day they choose!

Please send a picture or video of your group praying to info@lablackadvocates.com so that we can feature one or more groups each day on our Facebook page and keep each other encouraged to continue seeking God’s protection for the born and unborn.
