LOVE LIFE SUNDAY

BATON ROUGE, LA. (June 23, 2023) – This Sunday, June 25th, will be the first annual Love Life Sunday.  LA Black Advocates for Life has invited Pastors around the state to preach a message of life.  The goal is to have our communities Pray, Promote, and Preserve.  We must pray for men, women, and childrenthat fear of circumstances will not lead to death. Promote by speaking up and protecting the vulnerable.We must be vigilant, active, and involved in all matters concerning life if we are to Preserve it.
 
Our Mayor, Sharon Weston-Broome, has issued proclamations for June 25, 2023 as Love Life Sunday.  Ministry leaders are joining together believing God has called them to a time such as this to lead our community by promoting a message of Love and Life for all.
 
“Like most of us, I have witnessed for too long our communities suffering from the seeds of violence, neglect, dishonor, and the dehumanization of life. I firmly believe that God is again calling upon His church to LEAD by example in promoting a message of love and life to hurting people. I am asking you to please join me along with Pastors from across the state on Sunday, June 25th, which has been declared as Love Life Sunday, to celebrate LIFE as the Body of Christ! On this day we request that you share a message devoted to honoring life from the womb and beyond.”
